As the hardware development phase of Project Morpheus nears completion Sony's focus at E3 this year has been primarily on software.

With over 30 titles currently under development for the soon to be released HMD Sony didn't hold anything back this year with a massive 17 different Morpheus demos on display, here's a few of the highlights.

RIGS:

Developer:  Guerrilla Cambridge

Rigs is a 3 vs 3 multiplayer first person shooter that puts you in the pilot seat of a supercharged battle mech, your mission is to collect yellow orbs and score points by passing them through a central goal all the while avoiding fire from your opponents.

The current demo offers 3 different classes of mech that come kitted out in a range of weapons including lasers, plasma cannons and rockets.

With its fast pace and team style game-play RIGS looks set to be the flagship online FPS that Sony needs to make the Morpheus a must have for PS4 owners.

Summer Lessons

Developer: Bandai Namco / TEKKEN Project team

A follow up to the Summer Lessons demo seen at the 2014 Tokyo Game Show this new demo see's you teaching Japanese to a new inappropriately hot young girl.

Tech demo, dating sim or softcore porn simulator, I'll leave that for you to decide.

KitchenE3

Kitchen Tech Demo

Developer: Capcom

This short Horror demo was one of the most talked about Morpheus titles at E3 this year.

This experience sees you awaken with your hands bound and tied to a chair in a dingy kitchen; in front of you a video recorder on a tripod, at your feet the body of man.

Unfortunately no game-play footage for the kitchen is available to show with Capcom keeping a tight lid on this little gem but from all accounts its creepy vibe is guaranteed to scare the shit out of you.

With so many titles in the works the future for Project Morpheus is looking bright and there'll be no shortage of awesome experience available when it launches in 2016.
